DESCRIPTION:
GYNARICH® is a ready to use injection solution containing buserelin, a potent synthetic analogue of natural Gonadotrophin Releasing Hormone (GnRH). It stimulates the release of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and leutinizing hormone (LH) from anterior pituitary. Both of these gonadotrophins play a decisive role in manipulating ovarian activity and reproductive cycle.
Dosage and Indications :
The dose of buserlin is 10 – 20 mcg in cattle and Buffalo, 20 – 40 mcg in mare, 0.8 mcg in rabbits and 3 to 4 mcg/kg in rainbow trout.
Cattle And Buffalo :
For the treatment of Fertility disorders of ovarian origin.
Follicular cysts with or without sign of nymphomania – 5 ml
In follicular cysts, manual rupture of cyst is not advised. On treatment with GYNARICH®, corpus luteum will be clearly detectable within about 8 day of administration followed by its luteinization.
The response to treatment should be checked after 10-14 days. If no corpus luteum is detectable or if newly formed cyst is found, treatment should be repeated. Insemination or service should take place during 1» estrus, which occurs, on an average, 20 days post treatment. The rate of conception will be further improved after an injection of GYNARICH® 2.5 ml just after insemination or service.
Anoestrus in cycling or non-cycling animals – 5 ml
If no ostrus occurs within 10-12 days of treatment, a recta palpation needs to be carried out to examine the ovaries. If there are no palpable structures on the ovaries, then trealment should be repeated. If however a corpus luteum is palpated, the PGF za Or its analogue (cloprostenol) should be administered, thus allowing the animal to come to estrus
2-3 days later. Otherwise for the onset of natural oestrus a period of 10-14 days must be waited for.
Delayed Ovulation – 2.5 ml
This condition may be treated at the time of insemination or service, or up to 6-8 hours before hand. Ovulation is usually induced within 24 hours of treatment.
Improvement of Conception Rate – 2.5 ml
An improvement in conception rate may be expected if the time of ovulation can be established more exacty, This is also achieved by administaring GYNARICH at the time of insemination or service or 6 hours before hand.
Prophylaxis of Fertility Disorders – 5 ml
This is possible by administering GYNARICH between the 10th and 14th day post-partum. As a result, ovulation is generally induced within 24 hours and a regular cyclical pattern is therefore induced early in the post partum animals. The treatment has been found to bring about a marked reduction in fertility disorders of ovarian origin and to improve conception rates and is especially indicated for cattle with retained placenta and in herds with an increased incidence of ovarian cysts. Despite the prophylactic use of GYNARICH the therapeutic treatment of existing endometritis is of course still essential.
For Synchronization of Oestrus
GYNARICH can be used as a part of the 10 – day GnRH – PGF 2 alpha – GnRH ( G – P – G Protocol ) osterus synchronization and insemination regime to increase submission rates and significantly reduce calving to conception interval. The G – P – G protocol for fixed time insemination without the specific need of heat detection is summarized below :
Day 0 : GYNARICH 2.5 ml
Day 7 : PRAGMA 2.0 ML
Day 9 : GYNARICH 2.5 ml 54 – 56 hours post PGF 2 alpha
Day 10 : Animal to be inseminated.
When using the fixed time insemination regime by G-P-G Protocol, it is recommended that cows showing signs of oestrus after PGF 2 alpha treatment should be inseminated when observed in oestrus rather than completing the synchronization programme.
Mares
Cystic Changes in Ovaries – 10 ml
In cystic change of the ovaries with or without prolonged or permanent ostrus, a single treatment is usually sufficient. If
10-14 days after treatment there is no response, i.e. regression of the cysts or remission of prolonged or continuous oestrus is seen, the treatment must be repeated.
Anoestrus in Non-cycling Animals – 5 ml twice at 24 hours interval
Non-cycling animals: If no oestrus occurs within 10days, GYNARICH® should be administered again on 11″ and 12″ day after 1« treatment.
in mares without symptoms of oestrus the possibility of having a persistent corpus luteum that is not clinically evident must be taken into account. In such cases luteolytic prostaglandins (cloprostenol) are to be administered.
Induction of Ovulation – 10 ml
To induce ovulation, GYNARICH® is to be administered as shortly as possible before the expected time of ovulation, viz., on the 2d or 3″ day of heat in mares with short ostrus, and on the 7* or 8* day of heat in mares with prolonged oestrus.
At the beginning of ostrus GYNARICH® treatment will be useless. Ovulation usually occurs within 24-36 hours of treatment; if not, the treatment should be repeated.
For Establishing More Exactly the Time of Ovulation and Service – 10 ml
GYNARICH® should be administered on the first day on which the follicle has reached its maximum size, this being determined by previous clinical history and rectal examinations.
GYNARICH® is best given approximately 6 hours prior to service. If ovulation does not occur within 24 hours after treatment, then the injection should be repeated.
For Increasing the Conception Rate – 10 ml
In Prolonged and Permanent estrous – 10 ml
Rabbits
Induction of Ovulation for Post-partum Insemination – 0.2 ml
Administer 0.2 ml subcutaneously, 24 hours after parturition. Insemination should be carried out directly after administration.
Improvement of Conception Rate – 0.2 ml
Inject 0.2 ml GYNARICH® at the time of insemination or mating.
Rainbow Trout
To facilitate stripping and to reduce mortality due to egg binding
Administer 0.75 ml to 1 ml (3-4 mcg)/kg b.wt. GYNARICH®. Stripping should be performed 2-3 days after treatment.

The preferred route of administration for GYNARICH® is intramuscular injection, but it may also be injected intravenously or subcutaneously.
